OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES OUR TREES SPEAK!I always enjoy telling stories about children who use our essences. This one makes me smile over and over again.
A little girl, age 4, and her mother had been clients of mine since she was born. She always had trouble with going to the bathroom. She would tell her mother how hard it was for her to go number two (her way of saying poop) and it would hurt sometime. For a number of years we used herbal formulas for her and she did OK. Once when I was out of town and her Mother could not reach me she had not had a bowel movement for over 3 days and she cried and cried that her belly hurt. As only a Mother would do, she rushed her to the hospital one evening because she would not stop crying. The doctor came in and examined her and said, “Oh, she needs her appendix removed, let’s prep her for surgery”. Since the Mother had been a client of mine for quite a number of years she always heard me say, “when in doubt, don’t”. She told the doctor she was not convinced that her appendix needed removed and wanted a second opinion. The doctor gave her a prescription and told her to call her doctor in the morning.
The next morning she called me because I was back in town. I asked her if anything had changed or happened since I had spoke to her last. Of course she said no and I asked again please think about it for a minute. I knew since the doctor had sent her home that it was possible he was not concerned that her appendix would rupture. After a short conversation the Mother finally said, “Oh, one thing did happen. My daughter and I were in a little fendor bender. A school bus stopped at the tracks and a truck stopped behind him and then I stopped but the person behind me hit me and sent us into the truck.”
I realized at that moment what that felt like for a 4 year old and what she would be thinking when this occurred. The police, the flashing lights, the ambulance appearing, could all be very frightening to a little 4 year old. I told the Mother before she called the doctor to please give her some essences for a day because I knew she would not get into the doctor that fast. We gave her Millennium Journey and Children’s Happy Potion. Millenium Journey for the anxiousness and Children’s Happy Potion for the feeling of possibly being abandoned by her Mother due to the police and surroundings. Most children feel if they are bad, the police will come and get them. Mommy was bad because she hit the truck. The child would not understand it was not Mommy’s fault.
This is the best part of the story. That evening after several drops throughout the day she came out of the bathroom and said, “Boy, Mommy, do I feel so much better since I took my trees. My belly doesn’t hurt anymore and I pooped real good.”
